The Northeast Pack, a new league that was formed this season, includes some of the top teams from organizations from around the region participating at the 14U, 15U, 16U and 18U levels. Of the 20 teams over the 4 age groups, 12 teams (60%) are currently ranked in the top ten in the country in their respective birth years. The teams in the league include:

  • DICK’S Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Penguins Elite
  • Buffalo Jr. Sabres
  • North Jersey Avalanche
  • Mount St. Charles
  • South Kent Selects
  • Mid-Fairfield (14U only)

The quality of the organizations and players that make up the Northeast Pack is evidenced by the player advancement opportunities. The league boasts several players who will have opportunities to play at the next level through NCAA Division I commitments and the USHL Draft. This year the league consists of 36 NCAA Division 1 commitments and 40 USHL draft picks.

Three Northeast Pack players also had the chance to represent their country at a national stage. Three Northeast Pack league members represented Team USA at the 2020 Youth Olympic Games in Lausanne, Switzerland and one represented Team Canada at the U17 World Challenge in Medicine Hat, Alta, and Swift Current, Sask.
