The Pittsburgh Penguins Elite 09 Black team had an electrifying weekend as they hosted and played in their very first showcase.  Participating teams included the Burlington Jr. Cougars, Buffalo Regals and the Amherst Knights.  The team started out strong, beating the Burlington Cougars 7-2.  They then moved on to sweep the Buffalo Regals with a score of 3-0.  Their winning streak continued as they took on the Amherst Knights with the final score being 8-4.  Their final game of the weekend was against the Amherst Knights where they ended in a tie, 3-3.  The Pittsburgh Penguins Elite 09 Black team finished the showcase 3-0-1, claiming the victory of first overall.  The competition from the weekend was fantastic and a great experience for any child that participated.
