Aidan Campbell, a goaltender for the 16U Pittsburgh Penguins Elite team, has been called up to the U.S. National Under-17 Team. The USA Hockey National Team Development Program (NTDP) is based in Plymouth, Michigan and its stated goal is "to prepare student-athletes under the age of 18 for participation on the U.S. National Teams and success in their future hockey careers”.

The under-17 team plays games domestically against teams in the United States Hockey League (USHL) as well as international opponents such as Slovakia, Switzerland and Russia.

Aidan has had a spectacular season for the 16U team that has included an 18-2-0 record as a starter and .939 save percentage. Being called up to the National Team is no small feat and while it is a huge honor for Aidan, it will also serve as a chance for development in his hockey career.

Congratulations to Aidan on an outstanding season thus far and for the honor of being called up to the NTDP!
