Ava McNaughton, a goaltender on the 14U Girls team, has committed to play college hockey at the University of Wisconsin. Ava, who currently tends goal for the number four ranked team nationally, will be joining a Wisconsin Badgers team that is currently ranked number one in the country.

The Badgers, coached by Mark Johnson of Miracle on Ice fame, are coming off three consecutive first place finishes in the WCHA and have qualified for 11 of the last 13 Frozen Four championships. Ava will be joining one of the top college hockey programs in the country.

“Ava is everything that you could ask for as a coach,” said 14U assistant Abby Greenbaum. “She is a fantastic goalie but on top of that is also a great girl and a phenomenal locker room presence for us.”

This season, Ava has impressed on the ice but has also impressed her coaches off the ice. Congratulations to Ava on her college commitment and good luck with the rest of the season!
