Avery Saba: 12U Elite Girls

As one of the older members of her Pittsburgh Penguins Elite 12U Girls team, Avery has taken on the role of mentoring some of the team’s younger players. She is always willing to help if needed and has served as a fantastic role model because of her dedication. Despite playing multiple other sports, Avery has shown up to every Sunday practice which exemplifies her desire to constantly improve as well as sets a positive example. On the ice, Avery has become a very well-rounded player who can take on many roles. Her hard working nature and positive demeanor has been a great influence on the locker room. There’s no doubt that Avery will continue to be a leader on her team as her hockey career progresses.

Nolan Snyder: 2009 Elite Boys

Without a doubt, Nolan’s relentless play was one of the reasons that his team reached the quarterfinals of the Bauer Motown Classic. Each and every day, Nolan’s teammates know that he will show up and will bring a great attitude and a willingness to work hard.  A great locker room presence is important on any team and Nolan has been happy to take on that role with the 09 Elites which has led to a successful season to this point. The future is certainly bright for Nolan and the rest of his 2009 Elite team!

Congrats to both Avery and Nolan for being named Pittsburgh Penguins Elite Teammates of the Month!
