Roman Kraemer will continue his hockey career in Western Pennsylvania. Kraemer, who previously played in the Pittsburgh Penguins Elite organization as well as for the Johnstown Tomahawks of the North American Hockey League, has committed to play collegiately at Robert Morris University.

Kraemer played for the Pittsburgh Penguins Elite U18 team in 2016-17 and notched an impressive 42 points in 32 games. He then continued his career by joining the Johnstown Tomahawks where he recorded 21 goals and 17 assists on his way to earning the honor of being a member of the NAHL All-East Division Team.

The Robert Morris University men’s hockey team is a NCAA Division I program that is a member of the Atlantic Hockey Conference. In 2018, the Colonials placed second in the Atlantic Hockey Tournament. The team also finished first in the ACH regular season standings in both 2015 and 2016 following an appearance in the NCAA Tournament in 2014.

A native of Pittsburgh, Roman is lucky enough to continue his hockey career close to home. The opportunity to play NCAA Division I hockey close to home as well as the success of Pens Elite in developing top talent are both testaments to the growth of the sport in the region.

Congratulations Roman!
