One of the core principles of the DICK'S Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Penguins Elite is serving the community through volunteer work. The great part of giving back is that it can be a lot of fun and the 15U boys saw that first hand when they gave their time this past weekend at the Yinzer 4.12K. The number 412 (the local area code) holds a special place in the hearts of Pittsburghers so this event put a fun twist on a local race by running 4.12 kilometers with food trucks, live music and other activities.

The annual race was hosted by the Light of Life Rescue Mission in partnership with P3R. There was a record number of participants this year, both virtually and in person, for the 10th edition of the race. It was a great local event and the perfect way for the members of the Pens Elite squad to give back to their community!
