Pittsburgh Penguins Elite defensemen Owen Phillips has been invited to Canada's National U-17 Development Camp. This camp will provide 30 defensemen,  10 goalies and 60 forwards born in 2006 their first step in the Program of Excellence. 

The World U-17 Hockey Challenge includes three Canadian teams and five international entries in a tournament that showcases of the future stars of the game.

Owen, a defensemen was a member of the 15U Pens Elite team this past year where he recorded 38 points (6 goals, 32 assists) in 55 games.
