Lacey Eden Invited to Team USA Evaluation Camp for WWC

With their eyes set on the Women’s World Championships next April, USA Hockey has invited 53 players to the U.S. Women’s National Team Evaluation Camp, and Pittsburgh Penguins Elite forward Lacey Eden is one of the women honored with selection for the camp. 

The evaluation camp will be held at the National Sports Center in Blaine, Minnesota from October 25th-31st and will be the first step in selecting the roster for the National Team at the 2021 International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) Women’s World Championship in Halifax and Truro, Nova Scotia in April of next year. Lacey will be joining elite company on the ice in Blaine as 14 of the invited players earned gold medals for their efforts in the 2018 Winter Olympics and look to continue their success at the World Championships. The United States has won gold at each of the last five World Championships including their thrilling shootout victory over Finland in the Final 2019 edition of the tournament. 

Lacey recently joined our 19U Pens Elite team and is committed to play collegiately at Princeton. She has won hardware with Team USA in the past with a gold medal at the 2020 IIHF World Women’s U18 Championship in Slovakia and a silver medal at the 2019 U18 tournament in Japan and this invitation to the senior national team’s evaluation camp is a huge honor and the entire Pittsburgh Penguins Elite organization is proud of Lacey and her accomplishments!
