Pittsburgh Penguins Elite product Logan Cooley has been named to the final 2020-21 Under-17 U.S. National team roster!

USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program is a full-time program designed not only to prepare students-athletes for success on USA Hockey national teams and their future hockey careers but also for being a well-rounded individual off the ice. Notable alumni of the program include Patrick Kane, Auston Matthews, Jack Hughes and Jack Eichel.

Logan, a forward was a member of the 16U Pens Elite team this past year where he recorded 46 points (18 goals, 28 assists) in 45 games. Cooley has been involved in the program since 2015 and was one of the first 'Little Penguins' as he signed up for the Sidney Crosby Little Penguins Learn to Play program during it's inaugural season in 2008-09.

“Logan's ability to process the game and make the right decisions puts him at an elite level. He is one of those players that can play with anyone and has the ability to make others better," said Brian Mueller, the head coach of the 16U team and the Executive Director of Hockey Operations at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex.

The Under-17 Team plays in the United States Hockey League, the only Tier I junior hockey league in the United States, as well as against select competition in the North American Hockey League and Minnesota Elite League. Each season, the U17 Team also competes in three international tournaments.

Congratulations and good luck Logan!
