Pittsburgh Penguins Elite Teams Heading To Nationals

Four different Pittsburgh Penguins Elite teams have paved their way into the USA Hockey National Championship by winning their respective divisions in the Mid-American District tournaments. 

The Girls 19U team was the first of the teams to punch their ticket into Nationals by defeating the Culver 5-3 in the championship game. The Girls 14U team followed in the footsteps of the 19U team, defeating the Lady Barons in a shootout. The Girls 16U team finished off the day with a convincing 5-0 win over Gilmour Academy. Pens Elite Girls teams will travel to Blaine, Minnesota to compete for the National Championships which will be held from April 2nd to 6th.

The Pens Elite Boys 16U team took Districts head on, sweeping the competition and securing their way to the National Championships. The 16U boys Elite team found themselves matched up against Sylvania in the clinching game, defeating the Stars team 6-1. The 16U boys Elite team will travel to Rochester, Michigan to compete for the National Championships which will be held from April 1st to 6th.
