Dick’s Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Penguins Elite will offer a new full season program for all girls teams for the upcoming 2020-21 season, it was announced today.
The new full season program will increase on and off-ice training for all girls teams, in addition to their scheduled games.
The UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex and Pittsburgh Penguins Elite have added Ashley Vesci as a full-time Skill Development Professional and Girls Hockey Coordinator. Vesci, an alumna of the Penguins Elite program herself, will also serve as the head coach of the 14U and 16U Girls teams this upcoming season. Ashley played Division I hockey for Robert Morris University and went on to play for the NWHL Buffalo Beauts and helped the team win the Isobel Cup.
Pittsburgh Penguins Elite is offering information sessions regarding the new girls program on Sunday, February 23 at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex: 2:45 PM for 14U, 16U and 19U girls teams; 4:00 PM for 10U and 12U girls teams.
