The file below for Youth and Girls teams have the exact dates and times for 2021/22 Dick's Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Penguins Elite tryouts.

The format of the tryouts will be as follows:

Youth Teams: The 1st two tryouts for each age will be split in half alphabetically based on number of players at each position. We will email you one night in advance of the first tryout to indicate if your son/daughter will be in Alpha 1 or Alpha 2. Please check your email regularly to ensure you have the correct tryout group date & time. After the 2nd tryout slot, the evaluators will reclassify and your child will then be placed into Group 1 or Group 2. Following the 3rd tryout slot, there will be a 4th tryout slot only for those invited to the final callback. All 2008's will be required to attend the checking clinic prior to tryouts. 
 

15U & 16U: The 1st tryout will be split in half alphabetically based on number of players at each position. We will email you one night in advance of the first tryout to indicate if your son will be in Alpha 1,2,3 or 4. Please check your email regularly to ensure you have the correct tryout group date & time. After the 1st tryout slot, the evaluators will reclassify and your child will then be placed into Group 1, 2,3 or 4. Following the 2nd tryout slot, there will be a 3rd tryout slot only for those invited back. Following the 3rd tryout slot, there will be a 4th tryout slot only for those invited to the final callback.  

18U Prep:  After the 1st tryout slot, the evaluators will reclassify and your child will then be placed into Group 1 or Group 2. Following the 2nd tryout slot, there will be a 3rd tryout slot only for those invited back. Following the 3rd tryout slot, there will be a 4th tryout slot only for those invited to the final callback.  

Girls Teams: All girls will attend all initial tryout sessions listed, except there may be a cut to the final callback depending on numbers. More information will be provided at the tryout check-in.
