A pair of DICK'S Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Penguins Elite players have committed to join Ontario Hockey League (OHL) teams. Aidan Campbell, a goaltender from the 16U team and Teddy Sawyer, a 15U defenseman  have both announced their intentions to join their respective OHL teams.

The Erie Otters selected Aidan Campbell in the 12th round at the 2018 OHL Priority Selection Draft. Campbell recently backstopped the 16U Pens Elite team to the USA Hockey National Championship. In 28 games this season, he posted a 0.69 GAA and a save percentage of .944. In January, Campbell was called up to the U.S. National Under-17 Team where he appeared in 2 games. Campbell will be joining an Otters team that has struggled in the last couple of seasons as they missed the playoffs but won the OHL Championship as recently as 2017.

Teddy Sawyer was selected by the Ottawa 67’s with the 62nd pick in the 2019 OHL Priority Selection Draft. The defenseman split time with the 15U and 16U team this season and posted 14 goals and 33 assists between the two teams. This season, the 67’s were the top team in the OHL and are currently in a matchup with the Oshawa Generals in the Eastern Conference Finals.

Congratulations to both Aidan and Teddy on their commitments and good luck!
