Midget Majors Head to Toronto for 34th Annual MacPherson Tournament, hosted by Saint Andrew's College

The stretch run has officially begun as the Midget Majors gear up for their title defense. Following the final T1EHL showcase in Boston this weekend, the Pens have just five weekends and fewer than 20 games left before the start of the 2017 USA Hockey National Championships at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex.

First up is the prestigious MacPherson Tournament hosted by St. Andrew's College in Aurora, ON. The tournament features some of the top prep teams from North America. The Pens will open the round-robin portion of the schedule with a Friday morning game against the Edge School, who hail from outside Calgary and rank #6 among Canadian Prep Schools. Second on the schedule is a Friday night battle with the host Saints at the La Brier Family Arena. The Saints are the #1 ranked Prep team in Canada, and boast a roster full of CHL and NCAA committed players. The Pens then conclude the round robin with a Saturday game against Appleby College.

The weekend will be a tremendous opportunity to play against top quality opponents in pressure situations as the U18's prepare for both the T1EHL playoffs in Minnesota in February, and the National Championships  at home in April. All games played at the La Brier Family Arena (including the Friday night game against the Saints) will be broadcast live online through the Saint Andrew's College Athletics website, and all stats and standings will also be available via the MacPherson website.
